Duke & Linda B .Glenn Heights, TXDecember 3, 2008Senator McConnell Please put Senator DeMint on the Senate Finance Commitee to help control Federal spending. Our Government is on the verge of bankruptcy and spending has never been under control by members of either party. Jim Demint would serve admirably in this post.

John A D .Sharon, CTDecember 3, 2008x
Frank M .Highlands Ranch, CODecember 3, 2008I have refused all RNC fund requests because too many Republicans in congress did not support the President nor did they attempt to defend the concepts that required the war in Iraq. Republicans in general have betrayed the Party and our conservative values. They should have forced the Senate Democrats into a filibuster over Federal Judge nominations, their acquiescence served to validate Democratic positions rather than a Republican strategy to provide and maintain constitutional protections within the courts.
Clifford M .Zeeland, MIDecember 3, 2008 Sen. Jim Demitt would be the right person for the Job!!We could use someone with common sence in that position.

Mrs. Therese R .Crossville, TNDecember 3, 2008I think Sen. Jim DeMint would be an excellant choice for Senate Finance Committee. Congress has got to stop the taxing &spending & they have to get rid of all the Pork projects. And the Republican Party has got to stand up against the Dems & their taxing & spending. Lower taxes is a step in the right direction.

Robert B .Orlando, FLDecember 3, 2008If you don't wholeheartedly support the principle of individual freedom embodied in the US Constitution, then you have no right to represent the citizens of the country for the constitution was written. Just about every senator and congressman in our federal government disgusts me today, because not one of them is talking about the principle of freedom as it relates to personal responsibility. Without the power to be responsible and the understanding the there is no freedom without it, the prosperity and success of our country is lost. Is that what you want?

James M .Farmers Branch, TXDecember 3, 2008Senator McConnell: I strongly urge you to place Senator DeMint on the Finance Committee. This man represents my wife's and my feelings about curbing government spending. The earmarks have gotten way out of hand; there was an absurd amount of pork added to bailout bills -- there should have been NONE!
D. LeRoy B .Caldwell, IDDecember 3, 2008x
Eileen C .Chino Valley, AZDecember 3, 2008YES FOR JIM DEMINT----KEEP A TIGHT REIN ON THE HORSES!
Joe H .Allentown, PADecember 3, 2008The GOP will become a majority again ONLY when it gets back to fundamental principles of limited government, LESS government spending, a realization the pork barrel spending is irresponsible and free market principles. It is a sad lesson that still has not been learned that the more some in the GOP try be Dem-Lite, follow polls and 'bring home the bacon', the more the GOP has suffered. This would be a good start.
