Ron S .East Petersburg, PADecember 3, 2008How long must we wait for true Conservative principles to be fought for by the party I grew up supporting? I have been reticent in supporting the Reublican Party for the last two election cycles BECAUSE you have allowed liberal elements run the party's agenda. John Demint on the Finance Committee would be a decent START!!!!!!

Salvatore R .Seminole, FLDecember 3, 2008We need a Republican who has no fear of the DumbocRATS and the media. The Republican Party has been held hostage by it's representatives in Congress simply because they are afraid of being called racist, evangelical, neaderdahls. They press calls them those names, so why not act as men, women, and step up so that they can hear our concerns. If there is a Senate race in Alaska in 2010 I hope Sarah runs, she has more cojones than the entire RNC.
Tami M .Aiken, SCDecember 3, 2008We need My Senator, with his values,on the Finance Committee. Jim DeMint looks out for the people and not himself.
teresa r .Mishawaka, INDecember 3, 2008The government needs to stop the mad spending of our MONEY..All of these BAILOUTS are a huge burden on all of the US taxpayers and future generations..Stop The Madness
David D .Darien, GADecember 3, 2008Dear Sen McConnel: Rep Jim DeMint is one of a handful of stand-up conservative men in Washington D.C. He & Rep Jeff Sessions (R, Al) can be consistently counted on to represent the true conservative party & our Southern values. Request you appointment him immediately to the Senate Finance Committee.

PATRICIA H .Columbia, MODecember 3, 2008I am all for Captalism in this country and not Socialism or Facism. Captalism is what our country was built on. Socialism and Facism do not work, and that has already been proven. Take us back to the what the Founding ForeFathers wanted for this country and lets get their vision back in focus.
Jace H .Salina, KSDecember 3, 2008Senator McConnell, I implore you to stand apart from the pusillanimous among you and make Ronald Reagan proud.

James P .Joplin, MODecember 3, 2008It is time that the Senate Republicans got back to the conservative principles of Our Founding Fathers. I encourage you to put Sen. DeMint on the Finance Committee.
Rosanne V .Hazelwood, MODecember 3, 2008Conservatives will be watching closely the BIPARTISAN manner in which the next Congress is conducted! Beware 2010 if our interests and values are ignored!

Susan S .Sioux City, IADecember 3, 2008x
Herrmann G . Reno, NVDecember 3, 2008Sen. McConnell: If one thing should have become clear in the last election, it is that the previous style of Republicans have lost the confidence on conservatives. Too many were staying away from the election booths (including myself, were it not for Governor Palin) If you want to risk the loss of additional senate seats, I suggest you follow the strict history of assigning committee positions on a seniority basis. If you want voters to send you to Washington as Senate Majority Leader I suggest you appoint truly conservatives to leadership positions. Senator DeMint comes readily to mind as someone who will be accepted by conservatives, former Senator Lott on the other hand might not be the right man today.
Rolda H .Phoenix, AZDecember 3, 2008We desperately need this man on the Finance committee....
Joshua D .Berea, KYDecember 3, 2008x

James R .Mineral Wells, TXDecember 3, 2008We desperately need Senator Jim DeMint on the Finance Committee !!!! Please Please Please !!!!!! A concerned real American Citizen !!! We must do all we can to preserve what so many have died for . It is so sad that some would vote color over competence and Country !!!!!!! I would have voted for Bill Cosby had he been running and I do realize that Sarah Palin would have been a wonderful and principled Vice President and hopefully President someday .

Coy B .Marianna, FLDecember 3, 2008x
Anand K .Attleboro, MADecember 3, 2008Senator McConnell, Republican party faithful are counting on you at this moment to get us out of the minority position. Not having learnt the right lessons of 2006 elections, the least you can do is put the likes of Sen. DeMint in the Finance Committee to show fiscal restraint. This is the only way to shore up GOP credibility for the 2010 cycle.

Charles P .Fuquay Varina, NCDecember 3, 2008x
Derek N .Jacksonville, FLDecember 3, 2008The Republican Party has to stand on its principles. At a time when economic freedom is under attack from every quarter, we desperately need to promote rational, intelligent proponents of free enterprise into positions of authority. Jim DeMint is one of such intellect, and should be our strongest voice in the Senate.
Art N .Sacramento, CADecember 3, 2008I support Jim DeMint to be appointed to the Finance Committee. I believe he will help to protect my interests.
Jeffrey T .Red Bank, NJDecember 3, 2008Jim DeMint was a lone voice of reason during the bailout fiasco. I urge you to get this talented man on the finance committee and continue the fight for fiscal responsibility.
Daniel J .Pawcatuck, CTDecember 3, 2008x
Joseph V .Fort Lee, NJDecember 3, 2008I am a Conservative first and a Republican second. I am from New Jersey, one of the most Liberal states. I believe that Conservatives must balance out the Liberal element in Congress and that the best way to do it is to appoint dedicated Conservative lawmakers to key committees. Jim DeMint is a no-nonsense Conservative who has earned your confidence and should be appointed to the Senate Finance committee.
Dennis L .Latrobe, PADecember 3, 2008x
Ted A .Darby, MTDecember 3, 2008Please appoint Senator DeMint to the Senate Finance Committee. The results of the election should make it clear that those of us in the grass roots believe that we need a return to active fiscally conservative principals and not what has been occurring for the last 8 years.
Carol H .Grand Island, NYDecember 3, 2008Senator Jim DeMint will conscientiously represent conservative interests. His voice needs to be heard during Senate Finance Committee meetings. Those of us who recognize the value of Senator DeMint's thoughtful contributions strongly urge his appointment.
Debbie L .Seminole, TXDecember 3, 2008I read some of how Sen. DeMint sees our country going. He feels as I do. WE ARE GOING THE WRONG WAY. Please concider him for the Finance Committee. So my grand childern will have a chance in America.
Daniel G .Mesa, AZDecember 3, 2008Senator McConnell, The Republican Party NEEDS to have a strong, Fiscally responsible voice on the Senate Finance Committee to call attention to the ongoing melee of spending coming from the Democrat side of the aisle. Please make the right call and put Senator Jim DeMint on this committee. He has earned that spot by courageously opposing earmarks and pork barrel spending! (PC-LD19-AZ)

Don and Eileen P .Plymouth, MNDecember 3, 2008Please appoint Jim to the Finance Committee. He represents our values!!
Kevin R. F .Glen Burnie, MDDecember 3, 2008Authentic, committed conservatives must be visible, outspoken, and in key leadership positions. Sen. DeMint is a fine example of a leader who will energize conservatives to fight the irrational liberal agenda and other Democrat schemes. To Victory!
Kenneth D .Summerdale, ALDecember 3, 2008I ask you to appoint Senator Jim DeMint to the Senate Finance Committee. If the Republican Party is to make a comeback in 2010, then we need leaders like Senator Demint who will fight against pork projects and for reforms in entitlement programs.
