Marcel M .LaPlace, LADecember 9, 2008I support Sen. DeMint But also support Sen. Stevens on his appeal of his conviction in Wash. D.C. I don't know what kind of lawyers he had but they had to be stupid to believe they could win in WASH.D.C. He should have been tried in Alaska that is where the so called crimes were committed. The people on the jury and the judge should be investigated . They had him convicted before they even heard the case .

Paula R .Simonton, TXDecember 9, 2008Return and support capitalism in this country again. ENOUGH of this ridiculous government intervention. Infrastructure jobs? Who is going to pay for these but the taxpayers? Cut taxes, rely on capitalism. It will always prevail when given the opportunity!
Audrey M .Houston, TXDecember 9, 2008We are a capitalist nation, not a socialist nation. Let's act like one.
Edward C .Missouri City, TXDecember 9, 2008The Republican Party should get back to basics and focus on true fiscal responsibility
teresa l .oklahoma city, OKDecember 9, 2008x
Peggy E .Conroe, TXDecember 9, 2008These pork projects are obviously buying votes for a bill that's not good for America. No additional add ons to all bills. Get back to basics...Capitalism. Bring back businesses to the USA with lower taxes and raise the import taxes. Be PRO America. Congress should have 2 term limits without retirement pay. That would be serving the country, not themselves.
Steven S .Roanoke, VADecember 9, 2008The Republican Party has, in recent years, lost its reputation for being fiscally responsible. To restore its validity as a discernably different and better alternative to the Democrats, we need men like Jim DeMint in leadership positions.

Marlene S .Grand Forks, NDDecember 8, 2008We would appreciate having true conservatives heading these posts, someone that doesn't knuckle under to every whim of the democrat side. Let's get some backbone, it has been sorely lacking. Remove your liberal republicans from the committees they hold, I don't care how much senior majority they have. They are a slow rot to the republican party, they are one reason I haven't renewed my party membership.
Jack H .Lilburn, GADecember 8, 2008If our elected Republican Leaders will hold to the party platform and give men like Jim a chance to make a difference, then you could pull me back in to support our elected officials that (for now) I feel have deserted us.
