Jim DeMint and others that realize government, like all other entities, has a natural affinity for growth. This growth needs active abatement, because inexplicably linked with governmental growth is governmental/institutional waste. Likewise, governmental growth many times occurs solely for it's own sake rather than out of some sincerely developed fundamental need. Please assign Sen. Jim DeMint to the finance committee to give voice to the Americans on who's back this country is supported. Not to do so would further dilute the Republican message. A message that now seems less ans less meaningful. You cannot claim to be for smaller government as a party and then preside over a 50% surge in the size of government. You cannot claim to be fiscal conservatives and then support wasteful earmarks! This is the hypocrisy that facilitated the most recent electorate revolt of the Republican party. |
