John F .Sulphur, LADecember 4, 2008Sen. Jim DeMint's anti-pork approach to government is exactly what we need on the Senate Finance Committee. He has proven repeatedly that he is a true conservative. Republicans have lost their majorities in both houses because they abandoned their conservative base. Please return a strong voice of conservatism to the Senate Finance Committee through Sen. Jim DeMint. Another voice of fiscal sanity is just what the Senate Finance Committee needs.

William M .Tampa, FLDecember 4, 2008I would like to know why we borrow our money from the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) into circulation when the Congress is supposed to - according to the Constitution - issue money debt-free. It seems that Presidents Jefferson and Jackson were successful in terminating our two previous unconstitutional central banks but, since 1913, we have allowed the FRB to control our money supply and, unfortunately, our economy.
